The goal of the Eau Claire United (ECU) tryout and team formation process is to place players in a way supporting the club mission of “developing players to their highest competitive level.”

Soccer Year 2023-24 Season Plan

 

9U/10U Teams

    • Depending on registration, teams or training groups will be formed considering age and soccer experience.
    • Teams will participate in a Western Wisconsin league.
    • Teams will attend a Fall tournament TBD-dates will be posted by June 15th, ECU Invitational, and two Spring tournaments TBD-dates will be posted by January 1st.
    • Winter training will include one indoor practice a week November-Mid March.

11U/12U Teams

    • Teams or training groups will be formed based on tryouts and soccer experience.
    • One team will compete in WYSA State League and the other(s) in a WYSA Classic League.
    • State league teams attend a Fall tournament TBD-dates to be posted by June 15th, Presidents Cup, ECU Invitational and a Spring tournament TBD-dates will be posted by January 1st.
    • Classic league teams attend a Fall tournament TBD-dates will be posted by June 15th, ECU Invitational and two Spring tournaments TBD-dates will be posted by January 1st.
    • Winter training will include one indoor practice a week November-Mid March.

13U/15U Teams

    • Teams or training groups will be formed based on tryouts and soccer experience.
    • Based on tryout evaluation of overall team ability, teams will compete in either WYSA State League or a WYSA Classic League.
    • State league teams attend Fall tournament TBD-dates will posted by June 15th, President's Cup, ECU Invitational and Spring tournament TBD-dates will be posted by January 1st.
    • Classic league teams attend Fall tournament TBD-dates will be posted by June 15th, ECU Invitational and two Spring tournaments TBD-dates will be posted by January 1st.
    • Winter training will include one indoor practice a week November-Mid March.

 

 

 

Tryouts

Team placement registration is required PRIOR to tryouts.

If your player is not able to attend AT LEAST one of the two tryout dates listed for their age group, please communicate that to coaching@ecusoccer.org

  • Please arrive 30 min prior to your tryout time to check in at the Pavilion.

Soccer Year 2023-24 Registration Fees

 

The ECU Board has implemented a three tiered fee system.   Families can select the pricing tier that works best for them.

 

Tier A - Reflects true cost of soccer year, taking into account field rental, other facility costs, league fees, coach pay and operational costs.

Tier B - This price is a rate for families who need to adjust down slightly from the true cost.

Tier C - This price allows other families to select Tier B while still covering club expenses

 

Pricing tier selection has no impact on team placement and is not shared with the team formation committee.

Fees cover league fees, referee fees, coach pay, operational costs, tournament registration fees and coach travel expenses. Winter futsal training and summer camps require a separate registration.

A team placement fee of $45 is due prior to tryouts. Full registration fees will be required upon acceptance of a roster spot. A payment plan of 8 monthly payments may be selected at that time.
